The Beer Spa
You lie in a bathtub for 25 mintues, filled with beer, water, hops and yeast. After that you go into a relaxation room for another 25 minutes. Beer yeast is used in various ways, the most common, is a tablet form where the effects of the yeast are very benefitting.
Beer bath, where you bathe in both young beer and live beer yeast, without showering it off until some hours later, has an extremely powerful effect on the body and skin. This treatment is both cleansing for the skin and has a very positive effect on health.
The are seven tubs and we can accommodate up to 14 people every hour, as people can choose between going in the tub with another person or alone. There is no age limit for the bath itself, as the bathwater does not include alcahol. The draughts, that are on the side of eact tub, are only for those who have reached the age of 20 years. Children younger than 16 years have to be accompanied by an adult.

Reykir Reykjastrond Guesthouse
Reykir is at the end of the road 748, Reykjastrandavegur in Skagafjörður. We have two natural hot pots, small café, guesthouse and camping. The area is very beautiful with steep mountains and Drangey island rising up from the strong Atlantic ocean. You can enjoy the view from your walk around the area, or just from the hot pots.

Dalakaffi
Our little cozy coffeehouse opened on June 3rd 2023. It is inside our greenhouse with the sound of our river flowing by and warm heat to enjoy. We make good old-days homemade Icelandic pastries, soup and locally roasted coffee beans from Kvörn in Skagafjörður.
We have space for 25 people to sit and relax inside or outside on the deck to enjoy Icelandic nature. Unadalur, where we are located, has a beautiful tranquil valley where you can hike around the valley or go mountain hiking. It is the perfect way to end your hike for a cup of coffee or to start your day!
Only open over the summertime from June to August.
Groups can book from May - September.

Guesthouse Lyngholt
Guesthouse Lyngholt in Thorshofn, Langanes offers cosy and comfortable accomodation. Good kitchenfacility and outdoor grill for guests and access to washing machines. Tv in every room, free Wi-Fi and access to a computer. The guesthouse has 14 rooms in two houses, no two bedrooms look the same and they are not all the same size.
It is ideal to stay in Thorshofn and go for daytours in Langanes and Raudanes, there are quite a few marked hiking routs in the area. Raudanes in an extraordinary place where the landscape is different from anything in the area. There are caves, stonebridges, beaches and birdlife. In Langanes you´ll find a lot of deserted old farms, driftwood, beautiful beaches and the birdlife is amazing. You can relax, sitting on the edge of the cliffs and watch the birds.

Laufás heritage site and museum
Laufás is a renowned church site and chieftain‘s residence from the settlement (874-930). Laufás church was built in 1865, among its special items is a pulpit from 1698. The current farmhouse is a good example of a wealthy vicarage from 1853-1882 furnished with household items and utensils from the period. One of Laufás´ s characteristics is the bride´s chamber where women prepared for the big event. At the Visitor Centre you will find plenty of information about nature and history of the countryside, a handcraft and souvenir shop and a café in a cosy atmosphere. Laufás is part of The National Museum‘s Historic Buildings Collection and managed by Akureyri Museum.

Fræðasetur um forystufé
The Leader Sheep Centre in Þistilfjörður North-Iceland is unique. It is impossible to find a similar museum as Iceland is the only country in the world where Leader Sheep exists. You find collections of pictures, stories, and information about the Leader Sheep.
Besides information, we run a small shop with handmade goods produced from wool, horns, bones, and skins of the Leader Sheep. The Leader Sheep Center has received an award from the Farmers Association for use of wool, skins, and horns.

We have a small Café where we serve a special blend of coffee and good cakes.
One art exhibition is here every summer in our small gallery and is booked next consecutive 10 years.

Möðrudalur is the highest settled farm in Iceland, 469 meters ( 1548 feet) above sea-level. It has been inhabited since early settlement in Iceland. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Möðrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 - 1971). He was a great farmer as well as an artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefán ,,Stórval" Jónsson (1908 - 1994), a one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways - judge for yourself. Our campsite is open from June to mid-September. For campers, and RVs we offer stays throughout the year depending on weather.

Kaffi Rauðka
Kaffi Rauðka is located in a brigt red house by the marina in Siglufjordur. It is an excellent place to meet the locals and breathe in the atmosphere of this nice little fishermen´s town. Kaffi Raudka opened in 2011 and is now open all year around. Warm home cooked meals are served during lunchtime during weekdays and visitors can also order from a diverse menu including everything from cakes and sandwiches to traditional Icelandic hashed fish or BBQ baby back ribs making it an excellent choice for the whole family. In Raudka´s outdoor area it is possible to play beach volleyball, mini golf and giant chess during summertime. The north side of Kaffi Raudka is also used as a music hall and concerts are hosted there regularly.
Kaffi Raudka is one of Siglo Hotel´s three local restaurants. The other two restaurants are Hannes Boy and restaurant Sunna that is located within the hotel.

The cafe Áskaffi, has moved from Glaumbaer Museum to the community center Heðinsminni in Skagafjorður.
Heðinsminni is on the ring road (highway no. 1) about 10 minutes' drive from Varmahlið in Skagafjordur when driving towards Akureyri.

Our guesthouse stands in the heart of Grimsey island. We are located just above the harbor with amazing views thereover. Our house is 3 stories high and the top two stories host the guesthouse while the bottom floor hosts our small handicraft store and café.

We also offer a toddler travel bed available for our guests free of charge.
Our bathroom is on the top floor and is shared by all guests.

Each guest also gets a big towel and a washcloth to use during their stay. More offered for longer stays if requested.

Our kitchen table seats 8 people and furthermore next to the kitchen is the living room with a couch and two lounge chairs as well as a tv and a little bookcase.
On the first floor of the house through a separate entrance, we have a split space with both a little coffee house offering waffles with whipped cream, chocolate, and home-made jam as well as tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. The other side has a little handicraft store with Grímsey island made handcrafted things like wool sweaters, gloves, and hats. Also, we offer souvenirs and a document stating you‘ve crossed over the arctic circle.

Birds Museum Sigurgeir
Sigurgeir´s Bird Museum was opened on the 17th of August 2008. The goal of the Museum is to educate the visitors about birds, the biota in Lake Mývatn, and how people in the area used the lake for transport and to survive. In the Museum you can find almost all of the Icelandic nesting birds, plus about 100 of the eggs, and in a seperate exhibiton, tools that were used to fish in Lake Mývatn.

The resort is located on the east coast of lake Mývatn. It consists of a cosy family-owned guesthouse, a restaurant next to a cowshed and a small boutique with unique local products.
The guesthouse is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by lava rocks and birch trees. It is the perfect location for northern lights scouting. In good conditions the lights can be seen easily from outside the rooms. All our rooms have a private bathroom and a wireless internet connection. The reception is located on the other side of the road, inside Vogafjós Restaurant.
Restaurant
Vogafjós Restaurant is located beside our cowshed. We offer homemade local food such as smoked trout, lamb shanks, beef burgers, mozzarella and salad cheese made from our own milk and our homemade Geysir rye bread which is baked in our underground bakery. The restaurant is fully licensed and specializes in high quality and healthy products. While enjoying your meal you can experience the great view of lake Mývatn or watch through a glass window when the cows are milked, at 7:30 am and 6:00 pm. Guests are also allowed to go inside the cowshed to pet the calves and even try the fresh milk.
