What to expect

July is the most popular summer holiday time for Icelanders, and it is also the month in which most tourists visit the county.

What to pack?

  • Fleece jacket/lightweight wool sweater
  • Light layers (long sleeve tops, soft shells etc.)
  • Rainproof/windproof jacket and pants
  • Sturdy walking shoes with a good tread/grip
